Opening
The Church is currently open only for services on Sundays at 930am, 1030am & 5pm (6pm during British Summer Time), on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 10am, at 8am on Wednesdays, and at 530pm on Tuesdays.
Sorry - these are the only times when the Church can be opened to the public, but visitors are always welcome to these acts of worship!
Getting here
The SatNav postcode for the main entrance to the Church is Virginia Road, ME7 1PB, and for the Church Hall/Scout HQ it is King William Road, ME7 1PD.
A note below gives details of car parking facilities, such as they are!
The Church and Hall are not far from the Gillingham Gate road junction on the A289, to the east of the Medway Tunnel, and adjacent to the Police Station. Coming from either direction along the A289, look for the signs for the B2004 (Local Traffic).
Arriva bus 176 (Hazlemere Drive) from Chatham Railway Station and Chatham Waterfront Bus Station stops near the Church - ask for the Nasir Mosque stop. This service runs every 20 minutes during the week, but only half-hourly on Sundays.
Buses 101 (Gillingham Depot) and 182 (Twydall) run from Waterfront on Sundays as well as frequently during the week. Alight at Jeffery Street, and walk down James Street/Richmond Road to Milburn Road. Follow the blue signs to the Church (it's a 10-15 minute walk!).
CHECK BUS SERVICES WITH ARRIVA, as routes and frequencies are subject to constant changes!
Gillingham (Kent) is the nearest railway station - on leaving the station, turn right, walk along Jeffery Street round the left-hand bend, and along to James Street, turn right again (James Street soon becomes Richmond Road), and follow the blue sign along Milburn Road, about 15 minutes' walk from the station.
PARKING AT ST. LUKE'S - Parking restrictions - Permit Holders Zone L only - are in force in ALL the streets around the Church from 8am to 10pm Mondays to Saturdays.
Visitors' parking vouchers are available to anyone attending weekday services or events, if required, and we have a very limited number of off-road parking spaces near the Hall in King William Road.
Up to four (4) hours free parking is available on-street at the lower end of Rosebery Road, ME7......and there are NO parking restrictions in the vicinity of the Church on Sundays.
