A Mass for the early-birds (!).

An opportunity to share in a quiet mid-morning service, held in one or other of the various chapels within the church.

At our February Walsingham Cell Mass we pray especially for the Shrine in Norfolk, its staff and pilgrims, as Lent approaches, and for the members of our own Cell.

A short, said service, usually held in the Lady Chapel (the one in the picture - with a number of furnishings and fittings by Sir Ninian Comper, no less). The Cell of Our Lady of Walsingham meets each month, and dates of Cell Masses are usually published on the weekly pew-sheet.

Our day's worship begins with said Morning Prayer, usually from the 1662 Book of Common Prayer.

Our main act of worship each week, when we gather to hear God's Word proclaimed, and to receive Holy Communion. We use the modern-language form of service, with a modicum of traditional Catholic ceremonial to foster a sense of the mystery of the Mass. We usually sing a mixture of traditional and more modern hymns, together with a simple congregational Mass setting, led by our cantor(s) and volunteer organist/pianist.

Children and young people are encouraged to stay for the whole service, as it is not possible to have a separate Sunday School at present. For young families, there is a 'safe space' especially for them, with room to move around.

The Ministry of Christian Healing is usually available immediately after Mass on the first Sunday each month, or by arrangement with Father Garry, as is the Sacrament of Reconciliation (aka Confession).

A service of Evening Prayer, usually concluding with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. (Holy Communion from the Reserved Sacrament is available, if you've missed Mass earlier in the day - please speak to whoever is leading the service). This service may be later than 530pm on 14 December, but we can't be more specific - check with Fr Garry on the day.

Join us for tea/coffee/brunch/lunch/cakes at very reasonable prices! We also have a goodly number of stalls - bric-a-brac/books/toys/clothes/crafts/shoes etc.

Our monthly Youth Club, with a variety of games and craft activities, meets again today. The event usually includes a short seasonal act of worship in the Church. Ages 7-16 welcome - qualified DBS-checked staff supervising. Parents/carers are also welcome to stay for all or part of each event - children under 7 are also welcome, but must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

We begin the penitential season of Lent, leading up to Easter, with a morning Mass at 10am, and an evening Mass (with hymns) at 730pm, both of which will include the Imposition of Ashes.

An opportunity to take part in this traditional Lenten devotion - a short service of prayers and meditations involving each of the 14 Stations around the church. This service takes place each Friday in Lent - 20th/27th February/6th/13th/20th/27th March and 3rd April (Good Friday)

We take a *Spring Break* from the austerity of Lent this morning, as we celebrate Mothering (or Refreshment) Sunday. Hopefully, there'll be a small bunch of spring flowers for every household or family represented in church today!

Today's Masses celebrate the Feast of the Annunciation of Our Lord to the Blessed Virgin Mary, and we hope to welcome members of our Walsingham Cell from other churches.

We begin our journey through Holy Week with the usual Palm Sunday Liturgy, starting with the Blessing of Palm Crosses, followed by a Procession, and the Mass itself, during which the Passion Gospel is read.

This evening's Mass commemorates Our Lord's last supper with his friends, and ends with the Blessed Sacrament being placed on the Altar of Repose.
The service lasts about an hour, and then a Watch of Prayer (with suitable short readings) follows, ending at midnight after the short monastic office of Compline (Night Prayer).

A simple, but moving, service to commemorate Our Lord's death. The liturgy includes a Passion Gospel, special prayers, and Holy Communion from the Reserved Sacrament. A priest will be available after the service to hear Confessions, if required. There is also a short service of Stations of the Cross at 730pm today.

The lighting of the New Fire, and the Blessing of the Paschal Candle, are followed by the Vigil Readings as a prelude to the joyful First Mass of Easter Day!

Come and celebrate Easter with us at this morning's Mass! The service will include the Blessing of the Easter Garden, and there will be chocolate available after Mass (in the form of Blessed mini-Eggs...😋😋), along with other refreshments, stalls, and the Easter Raffle!

Our Coffee Morning today offers refreshments (including cake!), various stalls (books, gifts etc.), and the Easter Raffle. Children's activities include the Bouncy Castle...All welcome - Admission FREE!

This important meeting (to be held in Church immediately after the Parish Mass) is for the election of churchwardens and PCC/Deanery Synod members, accepting the accounts, reviewing the past year, and looking ahead to the future. All those on the Electoral Roll, and other members of the worshipping congregation, are urged to attend this meeting (which usually lasts only an hour!) if at all possible.

We have a special Mass this morning to mark the beginning of the annual parish pilgrimage to Walsingham, but EVERYONE is welcome. There is NO 530pm Mass today!

This important Festival is celebrated today with two services - at 10am, and at 730pm. Each lasts about 30 minutes (and there may be hymns...!)

We mark the Feast of St Luke the Evangelist - our Patronal Festival - on the proper day. and we invite visitors from other churches to join us if they can. There is a 'bring-and-share' buffet lunch after Mass, to which ALL are welcome!
