Church of England Diocese of St.Edmundsbury & Ipswich Claydon and Barham

The Parish Church of Claydon & Barham,

A Church for the whole community.

We have now returned to our normal pattern of worship following the disruption of the pandemic. This is a big Church with plenty of room for social distancing and is very airy so we look forward to welcoming back those who worshipped with us before the pandemic as well as new worshippers. However we are still not sharing the chalice at the communion or shaking hands at the peace

As from 1st August,  the Church building will again be open SEVEN DAYS PER WEEK FOR VISITORS AND FOR PRIVATE PRAYER AND REFLECTION . If you do visit the Church and others are present please respect the fact that they may be still maintaining the two metre  minimum distance from others. The building will be opened before 10am and closed after 4pm

The parish of Claydon & Barham: St Mary & St Peter is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults and our Safeguarding Policy  can be found on the menu on the left. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of St.Edmundsbury & Ipswich’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
