Both of our Bishops offered the chance to "Buy a Bishop" to carry our some task in order to raise money for the Bishop's Lent Appeal this year. Bishop Mike sportingly accepted the bid from one of our congregation to take a turn on the weekly church cleaning rota. He duly arrived at the agreed time of 9.30 armed with his own fluffy duster and set to work dusting and polishing all the ancient pews and other woodwork. He also found time to give our Henry Moore sculpture of the Madonna and Child a bit of a dusting (or was he just posing?)
