Until further notice, there will be a Service of Holy Communion at Barham Church at 10am on every Sunday and Wednesday apart from the 3rd & 5th Sunday when it will be at 8am to avoid clashing with a Benefice Zoom service or other alternative worship is planned
In order to comply with the Government restrictions and the Church of England guidelines there are a number of changes from our previous format of service - The congregation will be spaced out with only those from the same household/bubble able to sit together; masks must be worn throughout apart from when receiving communion which will be in one kind (bread only); there will be no congregational singing but there may be recorded music and hymns; and no collection will be taken during the service but instead there will be a plate near the exit as well as a contactless giving terminal..
Those wanting to attend a service need to book a place by contacting Jonathan Dedman on 830890 or by emailing [email protected] Places are allocated on a first booked, first accepted basis and this should ensure that no-one is turned away at the church door. If you decide to attend at the last minute please feel free to come along and see if we have room for you. You will of course still need to give contact details when you arrive.
Everyone attending any service in church (Holy Communion, Wedding, Funeral etc) is required to wear a face covering.
