Yet again we get a Graham Kendrick hymn at a time when the year may be causing us to flag a little, but it is Advent Sunday! We have a new year with a feeling of restoration to look forward to. Many Advent hymns speak of light and the second one is perhaps the earliest on that theme that entered my memory in Sunday School in the late 1950s.
